Setting up Honeywell Scanner ​

Connect cable from scanner to printer through USB

For Tm-T88Vi :

  1. Open the browser
  2. Go to printer’s IP (i.e. 10.1.10.155)
  3. Put in username and password: “epson”
  4. Look on the left for the option called “EpsonNet Config…”
  5. If it asks for username and password, they are “epson”
  6. Look on the left for the option called “Key Input Device”
  7. If the scanner is connected correctly it should show “local_scanner” under Device ID
  8. If nothing shows up scanner is not connected correctly
  9. Hit on “test” to test the scanner
  10. Put in username and password
  11. Try scanning a barcode, scanner should beep and barcode will show on the screen, check if barcode matches
  12. If nothing shows and scanner does not beep check the connection. Scanner is not connected

For Tm-u220i :

  1. Open the browser
  2. Go to printer’s IP, add “/webconfig” by the end of it (i.e. 10.1.10.155/webconfig)
  3. Put in username and password: “epson”
  4. Look on the left for “Configuration”
  5. Find “Key Input Device”
  6. If the scanner is connected correctly it should show “local_scanner” under Device ID
  7. If nothing shows up scanner is not connected correctly
  8. Hit on “test” to test the scanner
  9. Put in username and password
  10. Try scanning a barcode, scanner should beep and barcode will show on the screen, check if barcode matches
  11. If nothing shows and scanner does not beep check the connection. Scanner is not connected
  12. If you are using Impact printer for scanner make sure you turn printing on for the printer in POS

After connecting scanner :​

  1. Go into the POS
  2. Go to Dashboard on the left
  3. Go to Settings
  1. Go to Configuration
  1. Look for “Enable Honeywell Scanner” and turn it on
  2. Try scanning something
  3. See if POS responds
  4. If POS does not respond kill it and log in again and scan
  5. If nothing still re-check scanner
