How to setup Receipt Printer M30

Unboxing and Initial Setup:

Locate the bottom panel with the rubber feet, grip the sides of the panel and pull it apart from the printer to remove it. Turn the printer over and remove the side panel. With the bottom of the printer exposed, plug the power adapter into the round port. If you have a cash drawer take the small end of the cable included with the drawer and plug into the small grey port on the top. Insert the larger end of the cable into the back of the cash drawer.

 

Now plug an ethernet cable into the network port located on the bottom left hand side of the printer and connect the opposite end of the cable into the ethernet port on your router.Snap the printer’s bottom back in the place and turn the printer over and do the same with side panel.

 

Now connect the power adapter to the adapter plug and plug the other end of the adapter into a power outlet.Now press the power button on top of the printer to turn it on. Next we will load the paper.

 

Lift the grey latch to open the printer and grab the thermal paper so its leading edge feeds from the bottom of the role. Place the role inside the printer and close the lid on the paper.Setup is complete when the printer displays only a solid blue status light.

How to fetch up IP address:

Once the printer is plugged into a power outlet and a network cable is connected, it will immediately print a small receipt / ticket which will contain the IP Address, which will be as 10.1.10.106.

How to make the IP Static:

To make the IP address static, open google chrome on the iPad / Tablet. In the address bar type the IP address and click on Enter. The next screen which comes in front of you is the epson config screen. On the left hand side click on TCP / IP. On the right hand side of the screen under acquiring the IP address, click and change it to manual.

How to setup the printer on Quantic POS:

With the printer powered on lets connect to the quantic app.On your iPad / Tablet click on the Settings app and tap on WiFi. Check whether your iPad / Tablet is connected to the same network as your printer which is physically connected to.

Back on the iPad open the Quantic app, click on the left navigation bar, click on Hardware, under it click on Printers and then Click on Scan printers, you can see the printer name as TM-M30. Click on Add. You can name the printer, Under Group select the required group if there are multiple groups , Enter printer type as Thermal, Printer brand as Epson and click on Save to proceed.

Once the printer is added, click on the printer and enable Printing.The printer is now ready to use.
